<p>Celebrating 10 years of garden-grooving and festi-feasting, <a href="https://www.smokedanduncut.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Smoked &amp; Uncut</a> is back this summer at the iconic Lime Wood in the New Forest, Hants on 8 July and THE PIG at Bridge Place, Kent – a rock and club venue played by the Led Zeppelin, The Kinks and many more back in the 60s – on 12 August! Here are six reasons why this tasty open air party is one to add to your summer hit list.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-headliners">THE HEADLINERS </h2>

<p>There’s a cracking line-up across the two festivals in Hampshire and Kent. New York singer-songwriter Kelis will headline at Lime Wood and it couldn&#8217;t be a more perfect fit for a festival that celebrates food and music. Past albums <em>Tasty</em> and <em>Food </em>hint at Kelis&#8217;s foodie credentials, but she&#8217;s also a trained chef – graduating from Le Cordon Bleu and has her own range of sauces. For a bit of 90s nostalgia, Gabrielle joins the Lime Wood line-up alongside guest DJ Mel Blatt from All Saints. Hop over to Kent and indie icons Razorlight will be once again headline Smoked &amp; Uncut, music legend Dire Straits&#8217; John Illsley (who adds pub owner and painter to his CV) will light up the stage and don&#8217;t miss Seattle&#8217;s talented rock queen Kimberley Nichole and her edgy showmanship at Bridge Place, as well as guest DJ Kimberly Wyatt from The Pussycat Dolls.</p>

<p>Foodies unite! Festi-feasting never tasted so good. Not only will some of the UK&#8217;s best street food sellers pop up at Smoked &amp; Uncut, Michelin starred chef Angela Hartnett has invited her chefy mates – Nathan Outlaw and Lisa Goodwin-Allen – to serve a very special 4-course lunch in the hotel restaurants (you&#8217;ll be back in time for the big name acts) and THE PIG&#8217;s Chef Apprentices and Group Chef Director James Golding will be serving up PIG classics under canvas. Add a splash of English wine and this is a festival food experience that couldn&#8217;t be further away from a sloppy burger van in a muddy field. This is a gastro grand tour and we&#8217;ll be making like the Bisto kid in our roomiest pants.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IT&#8217;S KID FRIENDLY</h2>

<p>On paper, posh nosh and quaffable drinks, doesn&#8217;t sound like fun for all the family, when the youngest members consider a fish finger the height of sophistication. A<em>u contraire, mon amis</em>. The Den is your small party people saviour. This tent of parental escapism will offer crafty fun, outdoorsy activities, a pro children&#8217;s Illustrator putting your kids&#8217; creativity through its paces and a poet for LOLs. Plus a glitter artist (additional fee) and more – a sparkly gift that keeps on giving for days. A responsible adult needs to be on hand which could be a deal breaker, but if you can&#8217;t shake off your kids, this is a brilliant free festival event. </p>

<p>Festivals can take their toll on your manicured trotters but, panic not, there&#8217;s Field Spa to freshen up. Press pause and hang up your dancing shoes while indulging in a mid-festival pamper. If you&#8217;ve been dancing like a Duracell bunny, there&#8217;s a leg and foot massage, if feels like arm days after a few hours at the bar, the arm and hand massage has your name on it and there&#8217;s a head and neck massage to ooh and ahh the stresses of everyday life (from £25). While you&#8217;re taking a break, up your festival fashion game at The Bazaar. You&#8217;ll find some real gems and one-off pieces including jewellery, fashion, and festival accessories. Be warned if you&#8217;re two mojitos in, there&#8217;s every chance you come out top to toe in sequins. Three mojitos in and you won&#8217;t pass the Glitter and Braid Bar without embracing all the sparkle.</p>

<p>Party hard and sleep under the stars. Make a weekend of it and book a bell tent for two in the boujee Glamping Village. It&#8217;s light on the camping and heavy on the luxe. Snuggle into proper beds, enjoy proper loos and shower cabins, USB chargers, deckchairs and a bottle of wine waiting for you behind the bar (hic!). </p>



<p>That&#8217;s not all, top chefs Chefs Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder will serve sundowners around the campfire, followed by a 3-course Italian-inspired field supper. You&#8217;ll wake up to a cooked campfire breakfast (essential prep for day drinking and dancing), there&#8217;s THE PIG&#8217;s Apprentice Chefs will serve lunch, hit the Glamping Lounge for a nightcap, followed by a morning-after-the-night-before Bloody Mary breakfast (or a brew and bacon sarnie, your call). Lime Wood&#8217;s glamping is sold out, but there&#8217;s still a chance to snag your spot at THE PIG Bridge Place.</p>

<p>Ain&#8217;t no party without Muddy and we will be pitching our pink tent at Lime Wood and Bridge Place.
