Your ultimate Autumn Walks guide
Grab your kids, your besties, your dog and anyone else who is free to join you on our first Autumn Walks initiative with Joules - and win coats and wellies for the whole family!
Here at Muddy we’re all about maximising your precious free time and getting out and about with the family – so we’re thrilled to be teaming up with one of our favourite fashion brands who thinks the same, Joules, for our new nationwide ‘Autumn Walks’ event.
It runs Mon 21 Oct until Thurs 31 Oct – so perfect timing for a crisp autumn walk – and we’ll be encouraging you to bundle up in a cosy coat and boots (hello Joules!), grab the kids/dog/both and enjoy an invigorating stomp through the falling leaves en famille. We’ll give you details of our favourite walks across all 22 Muddy counties, plus flag up the best nearby pubs for that all-important restorative glass of red afterwards. Plus, we have a stonking Reader Treat – three lucky subscribers will win £500 to spend at Joules on coats and wellies for their entire family! Let me tell you, that is a lot of kit.
And you won’t only be doing good in terms of hitting your fitness tracker step count for the day, we’re proud to say that our Autumn Walks are part of Joules’ Charity Month – 31 days of fantastic fundraising for their five charity partners. You can read more about it here. You could get creative with your walk, asking friends and family to sponsor you, or all making a donation to take part: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/joulescharitymonth. The Muddy HQ gang did a practice run – OK, gentle stroll – last Saturday afternoon, heading up Watlington Hill in Oxfordshire, with its bucolic views across the rolling fields and valleys of the Chilterns. As red kites swooped and circled above, we gossiped, the Muddy kids ran free, the doggos gambolled merrily and it actually stopped raining for a few minutes. Result!
Naturally, we then adjourned to a fab pub a couple of minutes down the road – and set up camp in the garden, where the children scoffed 8,000 packets of crisps and we chatted about how we really should do this more often. Family, friends, fresh air, fun – you can’t beat the simple pleasures in life, can you?
So grab your diary and get in touch with your squad to make a plan for our ‘Joules Autumn Walks’ week and keep your eyes peeled for more info.
