<p>Heaven in Hell&#8217;s Kitchen! At Muddy&#8217;s little secret in the Big Apple you can see the city skyline <em>and</em> Hudson River, sip cocktails at the fabulous rooftop bar (one of the best places for sunset drinks we&#8217;ve ever been to), and the rooms have incredible views, particularly from the Penthouse terrace. </p>

JK Place Capri&#8217;s chic Hideaway rooms might not be as spacious as the penthouse, but we prefer their cosy coastal vibe, cute terrace-for-two and floor-to-ceiling windows framing a splendid view of the Bay of Naples. <p>The fact you can see St Mark’s Square from your bed in the Dogressa Suite at the Belmond Cipriani is a good enough reason to include it in this list. That, and the fact it lies on its own island in the Venetian Lagoon, has celeb guests (oh &#8216;hi&#8217; George and Amal Clooney) and a complimentary water taxi, so you can glide into town for a Bellini at Harry&#8217;s Bar, where the cocktail was originally invented. </p>
