<p>Traditional beach huts have been reimagined as luxury beach front lodges on a private raised deck on the Seafront Promenade near Boscombe Pier – no Primus stoves or eggs hard-boiled in kettles here. <p>Stay at this beauty on the sought-after Mudeford Sandspit, and walk straight onto the beach and into the sea from one side, and watch the sun go down over Christchurch harbour from the other. The family-owned beach hut is rented out by the week from around £1.3k (or by the day occasionally – ask them) and sleeps eight (at a squeeze). A bit like camping, lighting is solar powered and there’s a communal loo block nearby but it does comes with a Weber charcoal BBQ, outdoor furniture and a kayak!</p>

<p>The 62 traditional day-time use only beach huts – small, standard, large and a couple of ‘occasion huts’ for larger groups – spread along the prom on the sandy Avon Beach are the Avon Beach Resort. Close to, and owned by, the people behind <a href="https://noisylobster.co.uk/">The Noisy Lobster</a>, one of the area’s best and most popular seafood restaurants, there’s also a Coffee Cabin, Lobster Hatch takeaway (fish &amp; chips), deli (Seacuturie anyone?), shop, bakery, ice cream parlour and the hut-based Avon Beach Market – very handy. <p>There have been beach huts on Studland for over 100 years and around 260 today, with 50 day-use-only huts available to rent through the National Trust.
