<p>With great power comes great responsibility, however. Go in too strong, too soon and retinol can cause irritation, redness and peeling, so it’s important to pick a product tailored to both your skin type and starting point. Thankfully, techy modern formulations mean that even the most sensitive-skinned among us can reap the benefits of retinoids, and combining them with a skin-barrier supporting regime rich in ceramides, hyaluronic acid and SPF will max out the glow-giving benefits.</p>
