Star stay: take a peek inside Pharrell Williams’ new hotels!
Celebs love a glam hotel but some go one step further and open their own, like singer Pharrell Williams' new Miami and Bahamas resorts. No wonder he's so happy...
Musician Pharrell Williams is opening a new hotel on Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and it’s sounding all kinds of dreamy.
Apparently the pink-hued hotel will be called Somewhere Else and you’d better pack your bikini because it’s going to be ocean-themed with saltwater lagoons, lots of pools, marine habitats and river rides.
The star’s linking up with hospitality king of Miami David Grutman to deliver the 400-room getaway, which will also have bungalows with recording studios (yes, Muddy can lay down a track between pina coladas) and access to Paradise Resort’s enormous Mandara Spa, with its pick of Euro and Asian treatments.
The catch? It’s slated to open in Jan 2024, so until then we’ll just have to check into his Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach which opened last year. Muddy has a crush on the decor of this cool 266-room escape that lives up to its name, from the beach club to the stylish Strawberry Moon pool bar and restaurant.
Decor-wise it’s throwback Miami glam with a nod to Art Deco, yet feels thoroughly modern, with accents of pink everywhere from the private pool cabanas to the retro in-room telephones, tropical murals and scalloped bar chairs.
Muddy loves all the frivolous details like rattan animal lamps in the seriously stylish peach-coloured library inspired by Margot from The Royal Tenenbaums.
It’s a real mix of wellbeing and hedonism – think a rooftop gym with MyBeast equipment, sunset yoga lessons and meditation, followed by Purple Reign cocktails by the pool.
Even the lifts are extra, with gold-coloured doors and jungle scenes and don’t get us started on the pink leopard-print bathrobes that you’re welcome to wear by the pool…
Go find your happy place, from £192pn.

Tennis ace Andy Murray’s Victorian mansion in Perthshire is a knock-out. It’s old school plush, with a library, billiards room and whisky tasting room.
