In fact, it&#8217;s estimated the UK spends&nbsp;<a href="https://www.groomarts.com/student-advice/marketing-insights" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">£10 billion a year</a>&nbsp;on their dogs, with 35% of pet owners&nbsp;admitting they&#8217;d rather spend money on therapy for their pets than themselves. </p>



<p>Is it any surprise then, that a spate of luxurious experiences for dogs have been springing up left, right, and centre these past few years, from membership clubs for dogs to room service dedicated to your canines. Yep, it&#8217;s an exclusive canine crowd only, darling. At Zen Dog Club, limited bespoke memberships are dished out to those seeking only the very highest levels of care, discretion and attention to detail for their four-legged friends. </p>



<p>Inspired by the founder&#8217;s time spent in a Buddhist monastery, the ethos is rooted in simplicity and honouring the time we have with our dogs with joy and meaning. Naturally, the only way to ensure your fur baby has a relatively decent time on earth is granting them access to everything from aromatherapy massages and canine nutritionists to personal chauffeurs and expert training. It’s a dog’s life after all. And frankly, it looks better than ours.</p>

<p>You&#8217;ll want to race like a whippet if you fancy bagging a table at cult Sichuan restaurant&nbsp;Noodle&nbsp;and&nbsp;Beer&nbsp;for their exclusive collaboration with premium pet food brand&nbsp;Hide &amp; Seek London. The new ‘Paws&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bowls’ menu is available at their Spitalfields site every Sunday until <strong>5 April</strong> and will see a &#8216;build your own&#8217; bowl format stacked with nutritious goodies like broccoli, freeze-dried chicken, duck, or luxury goose liver, and a puppuccino for dessert. Items are priced individually or go all-out for your bestie and treat them to the full 4-course feast for £15. Bone appétit indeed!</p>

<p>Check in to Pan Pacific London and they sure won&#8217;t be ruffing it. In fact, they will be treated like actual royalty, with a dedicated pet concierge on site to ensure tails stay wagging. A dog&#8217;s life can get pretty stressful, so why not book them a massage at Shoreditch Dog House while you check in to the human spa on the wellbeing floor? If you want to make a day of it, there are dedicated dog walkers to take them on a sightseeing excursion around London, plus a special pooch menu created by dog behaviourist and nutritionist Anna Webb that uses fresh and natural ingredients. The dog all-day breakfast sounds banging to be honest. Even the fussiest of pooch palettes will find something to chomp on here.</p>

<p>Only in London could afternoon tea become a two-species social event, and at Egerton House Hotel, it’s executed with unapologetic panache. At the £30 per pooch Doggy Afternoon Tea, dogs are served their own three-tier bowled selection of gourmet treats, including chicken and beef meatloaf, homemade dog biscuits and a carrot cupcake, while their humans sip tea across the table. It&#8217;s outrageously indulgent but makes for absolute Insta gold.</p>

<p>Talk about rolling out the red carpet. At high-end luxury hotel Brown&#8217;s in chichi Mayfair, globetrotting hounds are treated to a basket of William Morris At Home goodies upon arrival which includes a luxury dog walkers’ kit (calming mist, hand cream, and paw and nose balm), bespoke biscuits, a dog toy, and A Doggy Guide to Mayfair, offering insights into local pet-friendly attractions. Naturally, that includes the best trees, lamp posts, and telephone boxes. </p>



<p>If they get the post-walk munchies, they can order off the &#8216;À La Bark&#8217; menu (word is the raw chopped sirloin of beef goes down a storm) for in-room dining or to be enjoyed in The Drawing Room. A word of warning though: your dog will be expected to maintain &#8220;grace and decorum&#8221; during their visit, so any tendencies towards overenthusiastic humping may need to be, hm, hm, swiftly addressed.</p>

<p>The school run looks, ermm, a little different these days. Gone are the days of dropping your little darling at the classroom door, instead, swathes of pet parents are enrolling their pampered pooches into what is essentially Soho House for dogs en route to the office. WagWorks opened its first private member&#8217;s club for dogs in Fulham back in 2022 to such roaring success, its second Islington branch flung open its doors just last October. </p>



<p>For up to a cool £925 a month, your precious Fido will enjoy group walks, pamper sessions, mid-afternoon nap time to the sound of reggae music (it&#8217;s really calming apparently), scent dens, and there&#8217;s an onsite vet, groomers, and dog behaviourist too. Owners even get report cards at the end of the day to let them know if their pooch has been a good boy. Brace for the humbling moment when yours turns out to be the class clown.</p>

<p>At night, they will rest their weary paws on a Ralph &amp; Co. dog bed and enjoy a hamper of toys and treats too. It would be a crime not to book in for a spot of afternoon tea. And no pup is left out. They&#8217;ll feast on the Belly Rubs and Biscuits Afternoon Tea, complete with chicken, turkey, beef or fish savouries, alongside Ruffingtons eclairs, canine cupcakes and Jude’s ice cream. Woof!</p>
