These are the UK’s most coveted awards for independent lifestyle businesses – and this year they’re bigger than ever, now spanning England, Wales and Scotland (hello two brand-new Muddy countries!). We’re also thrilled to welcome delilah as our Official Beauty Partner, bringing a little extra glow to the celebrations.

Powered entirely by you, our readers, the Muddy Awards are your chance to champion the businesses that give your area its buzz and get the recognition they deserve in a tough climate for independents. For 2026, we have 21 lifestyle categories, including reader favourites Best Afternoon Tea, Fashion & Interiors, Artisan Food & Drink Producer, Most Loved Local Pub and Wellness Breaks. And in another exciting update this year, we’ve doubled the finalists, with 10 businesses per category battling it out for a coveted Muddy Award.
