Six Senses, Ibiza
Editor-in-chief Hero Brown checked in and promptly decided never to leave. With jaw-dropping views, next-level food and a spa that might just change your life, Six Senses Ibiza is the barefoot-luxe escape you’ll be dreaming about long after your tan fades.

There are holidays, and then there are full-body resets with a side of spiritual rebirth and Six Senses Ibiza is firmly in the latter camp. Perched on a cliff at the wild and wonderful northern tip of the island, this is Ibiza at its most grown-up and gorgeous. No glow sticks, no hangovers – unless you count the after-effects of a slightly over-zealous lymphatic massage. The vibe here is slow, stylish and deeply soul-soothing, all thanks to the vision of architect and hotelier, Jonathan Leitersdorf, who dreamed up the entire thing with a cool £70 million and a stack of ancient olive trees as his muse.
Every inch of the 20-acre estate is a love letter to the landscape. The caramel-toned, eco-conscious design is BREEAM-certified and built to blend seamlessly into the cliffs, with every room and restaurant angled towards that hypnotic Cala Xarraca sea view. You’ll catch it from the yoga shala, the infinity pool, even the spa’s Rose Bar while you’re being gently blasted in the face with cryo air. There’s a spiritual, almost monastic calm to the layout – but it’s luxe, not austere. Think Soho Farmhouse meets Ibizan Finca, with a shiny Porsche tractor in the lobby just for kicks.
The food offering is every bit as considered as the surroundings, and you’ll want to eat at all four restaurants. Plant-based HaSalon, headed by cult Israeli chef Eyal Shani, is a vibrant seasonal affair (note: closed in winter), while The Farmers’ Market is a sun-soaked, open-plan space ideal for long, lazy lunches. Come nightfall, it’s all about Live Cave – built right into the rocks with a sea-facing stage, serving up sushi, tapas and live music to a glittering, barefoot crowd. You can graze by the pool, snack on organic treats from the juice bar or dial up a cocktail to your lounger without lifting more than an eyelash.
But it’s the spa that steals the show. A three-storey temple to wellness carved into the cliffside, it’s decadent, dramatic, and so vast you may need a map. From sunrise yoga with visiting superstars like Xuan Lan (2.5m followers, in case you were wondering) to surreal-but-satisfying treatments like cryotherapy masks and pulsating compression boots, this is wellness with the volume turned up. Fancy something less intense? Stretch out in the sun-drenched library, float in the indoor pool or just book the After Party massage and let someone else do the work. There’s even a spa menu for teens, (where were our collagen-boosting facials when we were15?). Frankly, once you’re here, leaving feels entirely optional.
