Spring into May with London&#8217;s <a href="https://www.balance-festival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Balance Festival</a>, which sees Hackney&#8217;s Truman Brewery packed to the rafters with hot bods and lifestyle gurus (19-21 May). Punters can meet fitness trainers and yoga icons, try taster classes and chat to nutritionists, fitness experts and lifestyle influencers like <a href="https://www.instagram.com/alexcrockford/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Alex Crockford</a>, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/c/LillySabri">Lilly Sabri</a> and the <a href="https://www.bosh.tv/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bosh boys</a>. Plus, shop til you drop, whether it&#8217;s massage oils, fitness gear or healthy snacks, and on the subject of food, there&#8217;ll be next-level food from cold pressed juices and salads to buddha bowls and more

Next up in June it&#8217;s <a href="https://www.thebigretreatfestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Big Retreat Festival</a> in Pembrokeshire, west Wales (1-4 June) where the vibe is all about getting back to nature, reconnecting with yourself, and restoring mind, body and soul, with a lot of laughs and live music along the way. There&#8217;s over 300 experiences to try including fitness classes, nature walks, bushcraft, gong baths, foraging, ice baths, breath workshops&#8230; and more. This year&#8217;s line-up includes Scouting for Girls, Miri, Toploader and talks from chef <a href="https://www.instagram.com/maxlamanna/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Max La Manna</a>, actor and meditation coach <a href="https://www.instagram.com/maudehirst/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Maude Hirst</a> and fitness legend Mr Motivator.

The first in a slew of wellness festivals across July is <a href="https://www.lovetrailsfestival.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Love Trails</a>, Gower Peninsula 6-9 July. It&#8217;s a festival for people with serious energy &#8211; expect the days to be filled with non-competitive trail running, trips to the beach, yoga, SUP, sea kayaking, rock climbing, talks, and wholesome heavenly food, meanwhile at nightfall, out come the DJs and live acts across three stages. There&#8217;s also campfire talks, star gazing and night runs for those with enough puff. The super early bird tickets are already sold out so you need to have your finger on the buzzer for the next round of tickets selling on 31 July from 9am.

Over the same weekend is Oxfordshire&#8217;s boutique <a href="https://treehouseaf.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Treehouse festival</a>, held in Uffington 6-9 July. It&#8217;s very much aimed at the festival pro, weary of the big scale events and looking for something smaller and more eclectic. Alongside the music acts, from folk and indie to jazz and experimental, is a lively programme of workshops and experiences including life drawing, meditation, yoga, ecstatic dance, Wim Hof breathing (what self-respecting wellness festie doesn&#8217;t?) and the Treehouse Spa with wood fired hot tub, horsebox sauna and cold plunge pool.

Later on in the month (14-16 July), <a href="https://www.lovefitfestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Love Fit</a>, comes to Sevenoaks, Kent, bringing the full detox/retox situ with three days of fitness, well-being, and magical forest parties&#8230; SUP, trapeze, volleyball, forest bike rides, pole dancing, hot tubs, spa, wellness and mindfulness feature, alongside talks and plenty of naughty and nice food trucks, then in the evening it&#8217;s time for DJs and live music to carry you through to the early hours.

Over the same weekend (14-16 July) up in Warwick is <a href="https://www.also-festival.com/events/also-2023/feed" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Also Festival</a>, a quirky festival that is celebrating its tenth birthday this year and is sure to go with a bang. It&#8217;s the wellness by day, party by night vibe again and while details for this year are still under wraps, last year&#8217;s highlights included synchronised outdoor swimming, a talk by explorer Belinda Kirk, food from Oxford&#8217;s Taste Tibet, and ecstatic dance Saturday. Basically, expect the unexpected.

For fans of Fearne Cotton&#8217;s mental health campaigning and podcast, there are two chances to immerse yourself in her vibe, at <a href="https://www.happyplaceofficial.co.uk/events/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Happy Place</a> festivals, taking place in London on 15-16 July and Cheshire on 2-3 Sept. After successful runs last year, the festivals are going bigger this year with experiences, talks, breathwork, meditation, book signings, spoken word, creative arts, and more for kids such as workshops and craft activities. There&#8217;s also stalls from indie wellbeing brands and a whole load of food vendors to keep you fuelled and happy.

<a href="https://medicinefestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Medicine Festival</a>, taking place on 17-21 Aug in Newbury is a not-for-profit event so all the proceeds go to a good cause &#8211; in this case the aim is to empower indigenous peoples to preserve and protect their land, traditions, and wisdom. With that in mind, the event brings together indigenous leaders from around the world offering workshops on spirituality, dance, singing, body painting, rewilding, farming, intimacy, grief and more. It&#8217;s an open-your-mind-and-who-knows-what-might-happen kind of affair.

<a href="https://www.wildernessfestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wilderness</a> arrives in Oxfordshire&#8217;s Cornbury Park on 3-6 Aug and brings with it a vast wellbeing offering alongside the music, theatre, arts and family activities. There&#8217;s wild runs, aerial yoga, SUP, forest bathing and treatments including facials, massages, Reiki, osteopathy, and tarot reading.
