6 new fashion collabs bringing high end to the high street

Set your alarm, add to basket and race to check out. Bella Freud and Awake Mode’s high street collabs land on 17 Oct. Here are 6 affordable designer collection to shop this autumn.

There’s nothing we love more than a high street high fashion collaboration. Since H&M’s partnership with Karl Lagerfeld back in 2004 and Anya Hindmarch’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it collection for Uniqlo to Victoria Beckham and Mango, these high-low partnerships are bigger business than ever. For autumn, we can look forward to more show-stopping sellout collections from M&S has teamed up with Bella Freud, John Lewis and London-based label Awake Mode and Kate Moss is creating a partywear collection for Zara. Sharpen your elbow, credit card on standby and be ready for a fashion bunfight.

M&S x Bella Freud

Bella Freud’s slogan knits are celeb style staples – and her iconic designs are coming to Marks & Spencer (yes, it really is!). Freud’s look is sharp, smart with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. If you’ve long lusted after her signature suits but don’t have a £1,000 plus hiding down the back of the sofa, or dream of owning her statement knitwear but £385 is too much of a stretch right now, set your alarm and have your credit card deets ready. The pinstripe jacket will sell for £129, the matching trousers, £89; and the pleated miniskirt, £69. We loving the pure silk bow-tie shirt, £99, and the slogan cashmere is tempting £129. It’s a race to check out, so make it snappy.

Zara x Kate Moss

Supermodel Kate Moss’s Topshop collab produced cult classics when back it launched in 2007. A mere, ahem, 17 years later and she will be bringing her fashion flavour to a special capsule partywear collection for Zara – just in time for the festive season. Moss e has worked closely with stylist and close friend Katy England, who is most famous for her work with Alexander McQueen to create a capsule collection of effortlessly chic, edgy pieces in ready to wear and accessories. No imagery or prices have been released – it’s all a bit hush-hush.

Launches on 30 Nov in store and online.

John Lewis x A.W.A.K.E MODE

Minimalism meets maximalism as cool London-based brand Awake Mode joins forces with John Lewis. be prepared to part with all your money when this 46-piece edit landed in store with the designer’s avant-garde style lent to knitwear, outerwear and accessories, with the collection is priced between £49 for a t-shirt and £399 for a coat. If you’re not familiar with the brand, it was launched by Natalia Alaverdian in 2012 and counts Kim Kardashian, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and even Michelle Obama among its celeb fans. There’s a sneak peek with the beautiful fringed jumpsuit, but set your alarms as the collection drops this week in 10 selected stores (in London: Oxford Street, Peter Jones and Westfield White City. Outside London: Cambridge, Southampton, Nottingham, Liverpool, Trafford Centre, Edinburgh and Cardiff).

H&M x Rotate

Love the cool girl aesthetic you get from Danish fashion brand? Then you’ll love H&M x Rotate. Rotate is a brand from Birger Christensen, created in partnership with influencers and stylists Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimarsdottir. Based in Copenhagen-based team, have taken the fashion world by storm with its sexy minidresses and covetable pieces for the going out wardrobe. This is its second collection for the high street favourite – the 2023 collection sold out in a flash and wasn’t available in Blighty. The 2.0 edit features puff-sleeved mini dresses, sequin zebra print, and knitted co-ords. You can buy now, but it’s selling fast.

George at Asda x Roksanda

Serbian-born designer Roksanda Ilinčić is known for creating pieces of fashionable art – and is no stranger to a high street collaboration. Last year she produced a gorgeous collection with Jigsaw, this year she brings her flamboyant, statement style to George at Asda. The 30-piece colour bomb collection is full of orange and burgundy, bold knitted co-ords and trench coats. So while you’re gliding the aisles during the weekly food shop, slip a cook trench or funky knit in your basket.

Reiss x Les 100 Ciels

A match made in fashion heaven – Reiss has collaborated with French label Les 100 Ciels – a luxe, simple brand that focusses on ethically sourced craftsmanship. The unisex collection is modern, refined and made using wool, silk and cashmere. It’s ooozes luxury and has been thoughtfully designed to complement your other Reiss wardrobe favourites. It look expensive and is definitely give rich lady vibes. We love the signature knitwear and effortless essentials.
