<p>The confetti has barely settled, but we’re calling it already: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have pulled off the celebrity wedding of the decade. Sure, we might not have every delicious detail just yet (hurry up, <em>Vogue</em> cover!), but that hasn’t stopped us collectively falling down a #Tayvis-ties-the-knot rabbit hole. And from what we do know? It was totally iconic. Around 1,000 guests (spare a thought for whoever tackled that seating plan), a reported $20 million price tag, Madison Square Garden transformed into an enchanted forest, a custom Dior Haute Couture gown (with rumoured 25ft train) and enough famous faces to rival the VIP tent on the Eras Tour.</p>



<p>Of course, Tay Tay isn&#8217;t the first A-lister to have us wildly invested in their nuptials. Before the Swifties came the Beckhams and their gold thrones, Kim and Kanye&#8217;s Tuscan blowout, George and Amal&#8217;s Venetian fairytale and Dua Lipa&#8217;s Sicilian fashion spectacular. Some rewrote the bridal rulebook, others simply broke the internet, but every one earned its place in celebrity wedding history. So grab yourself a cuppa and join us for a little stroll down memory lane as we revisit the dresses, the décor, the dream venues and the delightfully over-the-top details that made these starry &#8220;I dos&#8221; unforgettable.</p>

<p>First came the chic London Old Marylebone Town Hall ceremony, where Dua nodded to Bianca Jagger in a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture skirt suit. Then came the real spectacle: a three-day Sicilian celebration at the breathtaking Villa Valguarnera, where around 300 guests, including Donatella Versace, Charli XCX, Troye Sivan and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, partied into the small hours. </p>



<p>Elton John serenaded the couple with <em>Your Song</em>, fireworks lit up the Sicilian sky and Dua changed into a bespoke Chanel Haute Couture bridal gown for the evening. Unsurprisingly, the fashion set is still swooning.</p>

<p>Queen Bey and Jay-Z managed the impossible: a genuinely secret celebrity wedding. Just 40 guests squeezed into Jay&#8217;s Manhattan penthouse beneath a white marquee overflowing with 70,000 Thai orchids, while the rest of the world tried to work out why Destiny&#8217;s Child were suddenly all together in New York. </p>



<p>Beyoncé skipped the big-name bridal designers, wearing a rouched, strapless silk gown made by her mum, Tina Knowles, complete with a dramatic cathedral-length train. Even her &#8220;something blue&#8221; was personal &#8211; a coat of blue nail polish painted on by Tina. </p>



<p>Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin all made the ultra-exclusive guest list, but the biggest surprise? We barely saw a thing until years later. Low-key? Kinda. Iconic? Absolutely.</p>

<p>Purple outfits. Gold thrones. Zero regrets. The Beckhams have never really done low-key, and their big day was certainly no exception. Held at Ireland&#8217;s <a href="https://www.luttrellstowncastle.com/weddings/beckham-wedding/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Luttrellstown Castle,</a> Victoria floated down the aisle in a champagne Vera Wang ballgown with a 20ft train before later changing into <em>those</em> matching purple reception outfits. </p>



<p>Throw in his &#8216;n&#8217; hers diamond crowns, a 6ft wedding cake, baby Brooklyn as ring bearer and an exclusive <em>OK!</em> magazine deal (reportedly worth £1 million), and it became one of the defining pop culture weddings of the Nineties. </p>



<p>Camp? You betcha. But 27 years later they&#8217;re still together, re-donning those infamous purple suits to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. Maybe they were onto something after all. </p>

<p>When George Clooney finally hung up his eligible bachelor boots, he did it in suitably impressive style. Having met at a dinner party at his Lake Como home in 2013, the couple returned to Italy just a year later to tie the knot, this time at the opulent seven-star Aman in Venice. </p>



<p>The four-day celebration saw Cindy Crawford, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski and Bono whisked between palazzos by private water taxi, while Amal floated down the aisle in a breathtaking Oscar de la Renta lace gown as George looked every inch the Hollywood leading man in a custom Giorgio Armani tuxedo. </p>



<p>With a rumoured £10 million price tag, candlelit dinners on the canals and enough gondolas to cause a traffic jam on the Grand Canal, it&#8217;s little wonder Venice has been top of every bride-to-be’s wish list ever since.</p>

<p>Venice was also the venue of choice for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. Unsurprisingly, the billionaire pulled out all the stops for the lavish  three-day celebration, which featured one of the world’s most exclusive guest lists. Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Bill Gates, Orlando Bloom, members of the Jordanian royal family and a roll call of fellow billionaires descended on the city, while fleets of superyachts brought the canals to a standstill. Lauren wore multiple couture gowns, including a high-neck Dolce &amp; Gabbana creation inspired by Sophia Loren, while Matteo Bocelli, Ellie Goulding and Usher all performed. Security was so tight it reportedly cost millions on its own. Depending who you ask, it was either the destination wedding of the decade, or the world&#8217;s most glamorous traffic jam.</p>

<p>You&#8217;d expect a Kardashian wedding to be big, but this one was on another level. The first clue? A rehearsal dinner at Versailles. Guests then boarded private jets to Florence, where Andrea Bocelli seranaded Kim down the aisle at the 16th-century Forte di Belvedere. </p>



<p>Kim&#8217;s custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown by Riccardo Tisci reportedly cost around $400,000, while a towering wall of white roses and peonies became one of the most copied bridal backdrops of the past decade. </p>



<p>Throw in celebrity guests including Serena Williams, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, plus a seven-foot wedding cake, and it was peak Kardashian excess. The marriage may not have lasted (they split in 2021), but the wedding definitely left its mark.</p>

<p>Not to be outdone by his parents’ lavish affair, Brooklyn Beckham and his bride Nicola Peltz, dialled up the extravagance for their April 2022 nuptials. Held at the Peltz family&#8217;s sprawling oceanfront estate, the celebration reportedly came with a $34 million+ price tag (*GULP*, a Valentino couture gown (plus a second dress for the party, naturally) and a guest list of almost 600, including everyone from Eva Longoria and Serena Williams to the Spice Girls. The wedding itself was pure old-school glamour. Everything that followed? Slightly more complicated. Just don’t mention the first dance!</p>

<p>Iconic for a very different reason. In an era where celebrity weddings are livestreamed, leaked and endlessly dissected, Zendaya and Tom Holland did the unthinkable: they kept theirs completely private. After months of speculation (and plenty of AI-generated &#8220;exclusive&#8221; photos doing the rounds online), Tom quietly confirmed the pair had married in secret, with only close family and friends in attendance. </p>



<p>No <em>HELLO! </em>exclusive (as if!), no official portraits, no dress reveal and barely any details beyond the fact they tied the knot. Which, naturally, has only made it one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings in recent memory. Respect!</p>
