<p>5 terms.</p>

<p>I always put the pupils first, secondly staff, thirdly politics and anything about the independent sector especially affordability for our parents.</p>

<p>Cheam is a school of excellence and good practice. I can’t speak highly enough of my staff and the pride that they rightly take in their profession. Come and visit, my study and the coffee is much more fun than the elevator!</p>

<p>£1m doesn’t go far these days but a complete refurb for our classrooms so that they are even more modern, comfortable and conducive to learning.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-describe-your-own-childhood-school-days">Describe your own childhood school days</h3>



<p>I loved school, I boarded from the age of 13, and I was generally well behaved apart from when a leading role in the play caused me to have my head shaved so that I could be a convincing convict, and s a result I was gated. On a more serious note I was proud to be chosen as Head of School and enjoyed the responsibility and organisation behind that role.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-was-the-common-theme-of-your-school-reports-nbsp">What was the common theme of your school reports?&nbsp;</h3>



<p>Hard working and kind.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-favourite-worst-nbsp-teachers-at-your-childhood-school-and-why">Favourite/worst&nbsp;teachers at your childhood school and why?</h3>



<p>I loved the teachers who were real characters and made me laugh.&nbsp;</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-best-and-worst-subject-at-school-nbsp">Best and worst subject at school?&nbsp;</h3>



<p>Best was RS and worst was Chemistry.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-where-did-you-go-to-uni">Where did you go to uni?</h3>



<p>Kings College London and Oxford for my PGCE, NYU for my MA in America.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-did-you-study">What did you study?</h3>



<p>Religious Studies and Philosophy followed by a PGCE to teach RS and Drama and then an MA In Education.</p>

<p>High&nbsp;was the independence and the low was cycling in London.</p>

<p>A vicar or an army chaplain.</p>
