We believe in taking wholesome dairy from our own herd and neighbouring fields to produce cheese that’s the finest expression of the land. Situated on the banks of the River Dart near Totnes, the Sharpham Estate has been producing wines and cheeses for over 35 years to local, national and international acclaim. Home to our famous Brie, Rustic and Ticklemore cheeses, Sharpham Cheese is handcrafted with milk from our own herd of Jersey cows, along with goats and ewe’s milk from our West Country neighbours. In 2019 we won UK Supreme Cheese at the Global Cheese Awards (Washbourne) and British Product of the Year in the Great British Food Awards (Cremet), with Washbourne also reaching the 2020 final again this year. Over the years, the equipment may have modernised, but we still employ the same traditional techniques and the cheeses remain fully hand-produced.
